The wheel of time turns relentlessly. In a small village in Haryana, there lived a woman named Sarla, whose life was filled with struggles. Her husband, Dharamvir, died in a road accident when their son, Raju, was just 1.5 years old. After her husband's passing, Sarla dedicated her life to raising Raju. She worked tirelessly, selling jalebis and pakodis, and people often praised her cooking. Her dream was for her son to become a successful man through education.
Raju excelled in his studies, and Sarla's hard work paid off. He secured good marks in school and got admission to college. However, Sarla faced challenges in arranging the college fees, as she earned daily and spent daily. Despite facing rejection from people and the bank, she didn't lose hope. She even sold her jewelry to pay for Raju's fees.
As Raju grew older, he fell in love with a girl named Seema, a college classmate. After completing their education, Raju got a government job, and they got married. Sarla was overjoyed and spent all her savings on the wedding. Initially, the family was happy, but as time passed, Raju became busy with his job and family. Sarla was left alone at home, and eventually, Seema suggested sending Sarla to an old-age home, which Raju agreed to.
Years went by, and Raju also reached old age. His son, Ayush, grew up, got a job, and married. Ayush suggested sending Raju to an old-age home, citing the same reasons Seema had given years ago. When Raju reached the old-age home, he saw Sarla sitting there, and his eyes welled up with tears. Sarla smiled and said, "You've come, beta (son)?" Raju realized his mistake and the value of his mother's love.
The story beautifully portrays the sacrifices of a mother and the importance of valuing relationships. The wheel of time turns, and we reap what we sow.
